Biography
Pam Brandis was born and raised in Omaha, Nebraska. She is a self-taught guitarist, songwriter/producer. From 1981 to 1996, Pam was a member of two regional cover bands. Hopes of landing a single-song contract in Nashville became a multi-decade journey as an independent multi-album artist.
Pam’s full-length debut album, “Multiple Exposure” was completed and released in 1999. Subsequent Pam Brandis “New Blues” album titles are “Elemental,” “Squared,” “Horizons,” and “Time Frames.” The conception of the sixth Pam Brandis album, “Segue” comes as Pam prepares for a return to performance, this time as a solo instrumental guitarist at private events, functions and social gatherings in public spaces around the Omaha metro area.
The album, “Segue” will address some of the emotions resulting from a historic event that took place in June 2024. Possible song titles include, “Red Brick School House,” “Blue Guitar,” “The Neighborhood,” “I’m Still Here,” “That’s Not Us,” “Together.”
Those who know Pam best know that Music is Pam’s passion. Others are motivated by praise, by applause, by status, by money, by drugs or other. Pam is most motivated by Music. Pam is engaged by, engaged with, and engaged for–married to Music. Pam’s father once told her that she is literally “driven” by her Music. Pam is most content while listening to, learning, practicing/rehearsing/performing, writing and recording, discussing, researching and promoting Music. All of Pam’s aspirations are somehow related to her Love for Music. Though Pam also enjoys other areas of interest, activities and hobbies, God conjoined Pam with Music. Therefore, Pam cannot escape Music. You can stand in the way of Pam and Music, but you can never completely separate them. And why would you want to?
